Leicester-based dessert café chain, Chocoberry, has reported a 53% increase in revenues in the first half of 2025 as the business accelerates plans to open 50 UK sites by the end of 2026.

Chocoberry has attributed its performance to growing demand for its premium dessert offering.

Founded in 2018, the chain currently operates 18 cafés across the country and a small number overseas in the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Canada

Chocoberry has signed agreements for eight new outlets this year, following recent openings in Manchester, Peterborough and Leytonstone.

The group is also exploring a potential expansion into North America, Asia and the Gulf Cooperation Council, with the aim of reaching 100 global locations by 2028.

To support the rollout, Chocoberry has invested in a 5,000 sq ft bakery in Leicester supplying its cafés and delivery partners, which is said to have the facilities capable of producing thousands of baked goods each week.

Ameer Nurmahomed, UK general manager at Chocoberry, said: “Chocoberry is going from strength to strength. When the brand was first launched in 2018, we saw a gap in the market for truly innovative and handcrafted dessert experiences in visually engaging café settings. Now, seven years on, we have built a highly unique and scalable business – supported by our strong brand, wholly-owned bakery operations, and thriving delivery channels – that has a fantastic opportunity to scale to become a household name.

“So far this year, we have signed eight new stores and are in conversations with prospective franchisees across the country. This will take us quickly to nearly 30 UK locations, which will create strong foundations and momentum for us to push on and hit 50 UK sites by the end of 2026 and 100 internationally by 2028.”
