200 Degrees to open Derby site

The new Derby coffee shop is the chain’s 18th across England and Wales and is the 7th in the East Midlands, which has shops in Lincoln, Leicester and Nottingham

East Midlands-based coffee roaster 200 Degrees has announced the opening of its new Derby coffee shop in Derbion shopping centre tomorrow (19 November). 

It is reported that the site is next to Boots on the ground floor of the shopping centre and it will seat more than 60 people, as well as provide 12 full-time and part-time jobs to the area.

According to the coffee chain, the venue will have its “iconic” fireplace, antique armchairs and ‘hand-made in England’ feature wall. The Derby location will also feature a “secret” seating area with tables, chairs and benches.

The coffee shop will also serve hot chocolates, smoothies and milkshakes, as well as deli-style sandwiches, baguettes, cakes and pastries, with vegan and gluten-free options.

Rob Darby, CEO of 200 Degrees, said: “We’re thrilled about the opening of our new shop in Derby. We’ve been wanting to set up shop here for some time, being East Midlands-based, and Derbion is the perfect spot.
