Just Eat has announced the rollout of its new drone-operated deliveries in partnership with Manna, a drone delivery company.
Following the new partnership, customers will have the choice to receive their orders from participating partners via drones, which will be deployed from local delivery hubs operated by Manna.
Once the food has been loaded onto the drone, customers will receive their orders in as little as three minutes.
The company has said that the new delivery service will not only give customers a new option, but it will also improve operational efficiency and offer faster delivery times during peak hours.
The service is already available in Dublin, Ireland, with the aim to roll this out internationally to more markets.
In addition, Just Eat has also unveiled plans to rollout its AI Assistant chatbot in Germany, Austria and Australia over the coming months following its success in Ireland and the Netherlands at the start of the year.
Jessica Hall, chief product officer at Just Eat, said: “We’re very excited to be working with Manna to offer an alternative form of delivery, offering customers a seamless ordering journey and ensuring they receive what they want, when they want it. This partnership is the latest in our continued commitment to finding and testing innovative ways of enabling everyday convenience and delivering best-in-class user experience.”
