Steve Richards, the CEO of Casual Dining Group (CDG), will be leaving the restaurant group at the end of May 2019 to join holiday resort company Parkdean Holidays as its CEO.

CDG operates around 290 restaurants across a number of brands including Las Iguanas, Bella Italia and Cafe Rouge. Appointed in 2014, Richards has overseen the group’s acquisitions of La Tasca and Las Iguanas.

Rooney Anand, chairman, said: “On behalf of the board I would like to thank Steve for his achievements as CEO of Casual Dining Group. We will be appointing his successor soon and making a further announcement in due course. Steve will be helping us effect a smooth transition as we continue to grow and develop the business in the fast moving and competitive casual dining market.”
