Sopwell House in St Albans has announced it is launching a new Wimbledon inspired menu for afternoon teas.

The menu will run for the duration of the championships and will see the hotel offering a variety of Wimbledon related strawberries and cream cakes. Macarons on the menu will be served with the All England Tennis Club logo, and battenburg cakes will be based on a tennis court, with a small ball on top.

The menu will be served with a glass of Tattinger rose champagne at tea time and Pimms at lunch, from 12:30pm to 5pm and will cost £44.95 with half price for children under 14.

The St Albans based hotel aims to get those further away from the competition in on the celebrations.
