Gaucho and M Restaurants has announced it will be participating in the ‘Hospitality Against Homelessness’ campaign, which was set up by non-profit organisation, Only A Pavement Away.

The campaign aims to bring together the hospitality industry in an effort to provide support to homeless people across London, while restaurants and bars have had to stop operations due to renewed lockdown measures.

The group will help distribute over 100 hot meals per day over the festive fortnight to London’s rough sleepers distributed by Under One Sky’s street teams and Westminster City Council.

Furthermore, the campaign will serve festive indoor meals of steak and roast dinner to homeless people across London on 24, 28 and 31 Dec.

Martin Williams, the group’s CEO, said: “We are delighted to work with our partners to minimise our food wastage and more importantly to help those in need of support at this time of year.

“Sadly many in hospitality are amongst those on the streets, so it is a poignant gesture, which we encourage other restaurants to follow.”
