Madrid restaurant Amazonico is set to open on Berkeley Square in London’s Mayfair, well-known for its popularity with celebrities.

Spanish restaurateurs, Santo da Silva and Marta Santos created the UK company and submitted planning permission for the new restaurant at the Allied Irish bank building.
The restaurant will be situated between Richard Caring’s Sexy Fish and Annabel’s restaurants, along with Michelin-starred Benares.

Restaurant operators Dogus International issued a statement regarding the new restaurant’s launch which says the property will have a total of 281 covers, 258 in the restaurant area and 23 at a lounge bar. The restaurant is expected to be open all-day from 7am to 1am.

Dogus International’s statement read: “Amazonico is already operating very successfully in Madrid, Spain and provides customers with a dining experience inspired by tropical, Asian, Mediterranean and Brazilian cuisine.

“We are excited to bring this new concept to London’s restaurant scene and we consider that Berkeley Square is the perfect location, centrally located and within the heart of Mayfair.”
