Fred Bakery has opened its second London site in Oxford Circus, marking its latest expansion following the launch of its flagship bakery in Holborn.
The bakery, founded in 2021, offers a range of breads, pastries and savoury dishes made on site. Its menu includes sourdough loaves, ciabatta and baguettes, alongside pastries such as cinnamon rolls and fruit danishes, as well as sandwiches and lunch items.
The new Oxford Circus site features a split-level layout with seating across two floors, designed to accommodate both takeaway customers and those staying longer. The interior was designed by architect Lucas Che Tizard of Red Deer and follows the brand’s minimalist style, using neutral tones and natural materials.
Fred Bakery said the Oxford Circus opening reflects continued demand for its offering in central London. The site also serves seasonal hot drinks and coffee through a partnership with Julius Meinl.
The business was co-founded by restaurateur Burak Demirelli, who is also behind London restaurant concepts Faros London and Lokal. The name Fred is derived from the words “fresh” and “baked”, reflecting the bakery’s focus on in-house production.
Fred Bakery said it remained focused on craftsmanship, seasonality and serving local communities as it continues to grow its presence in the capital.
