Yum Brands has revealed that KFC UK and Ireland system sales grew 9% in the 13 weeks ended 30 September 30, 2025, driven by strong growth in transactions.
Furthermore, the company stated that its in-store sales grew 8% while its delivery sales rose 12% in the period.
It put this rise down to its “value-driven menu innovation” which contributed to a 6% growth in total transactions. It said that the 60 piece Popcorn Chicken Bucket and Hot Wings Bucket, new menu launches in the quarter, drove incremental sales throughout Q3.
Moreover, the company stated that late night snacking continued to be a growth opportunity, with KFC reporting sales growth of 44% during late evening occasions.
Rob Swain, KFC UK and Ireland general manager, said: “We’re seeing incredible momentum across KFC in the UK and Ireland right now, with more customers choosing us for our unbeatable, great-tasting chicken.
“Our strong sales growth this quarter was fuelled by transaction growth, proof that our menu innovation and focus on value are landing with customers. With our brand, our people, and the investment plans we have in place, we’re confident that we’re in the best position to continue leading the fried chicken category for years to come.”
In May this year, KFC announced a growth plan to deliver a £1.5bn impact in the UK and Ireland, including plans to open 500 new restaurants over the next decade and capitalise on the growing popularity of fried chicken.
It stated that the UK fried chicken market is estimated currently to be worth £3.1bn, which is expected to grow further as consumer demand for fried chicken continues to outstrip all other QSR categories.
