A new French restaurant, Mazarine, is set to open in London’s Hanover Square next month, marking the latest venture from restaurateurs Khaled Dandachi and Fred Srouchi, the duo behind Mayfair’s Sparrow Italia.

Described as a “Maison Culinaire”, the restaurant will focus on coastal French cuisine, with a menu centred on seafood. It will be led by a chef previously at LPM.

Mazarine will feature interiors by US-based Bolt Design Studio. The restaurant aims to offer “refined but informal service”, with a menu drawing on classical French techniques and seasonal produce.

Dishes will include smoked eel croquettes, octopus Béarnaise, Cornish crab ravioli with lobster broth, and Le Grand Aïoli Marseillais – a dish of salt cod, sea urchin, langoustines and seasonal vegetables.

Dandachi, co-founder, said: “Mazarine, in all things, aims to epitomize the virtues of timeless refinement, technical perfection, and peerless hospitality in every gesture. At Mazarine, we believe in dining over eating, elegance over opulence, ritual over routine, and guests, above all else.”
