House of Louie, a new hospitality collective from Paris Society, has opened in Covent Garden, bringing together Japanese restaurant Wani Tzuki, French dining at Louie and the Alligator Bar under one roof.
The new venue is based in a historic 19th Century townhouse reconfigured across four floors to host the three concepts.
The design incorporates neutral tones, antiques and interiors intended to “reflect the cultural and historical influences” behind the brand.
On the first floor, Wani Tzuki offers Japanese dining inspired by the izakaya tradition, with an emphasis on craftsmanship and seasonality.
The restaurant reinterprets Japanese cuisine through the perspective of French-trained chefs, focusing on cross-cultural influences.
Interiors by Joanna Pera Duvocelle combine Japanese design elements with the convivial style of a traditional bistro.
At the centre of the building is Louie, a French restaurant set against a backdrop of jazz music and classic interiors. French design duo Dion et Arles led the design, which pairs understated tones with antiques and references to the wider townhouse aesthetic.
Lastly, the top floor is home to the Alligator Bar, which includes a terrace and live entertainment programme with DJs and performances.
Paris Society said that House of Louie has been created as a “multi-layered venue, with each floor offering a distinct dining and social experience”.
