Fresh pasta brand Pasta Evangelists is set to open its first restaurant outside London this July on Guildford High Street.
The opening marks the next step in the company’s expansion, which began in 2016 as an artisan pasta delivery service and now includes restaurants, retail and cookery schools.
The company revealed that the Guildford restaurant will be among its largest, and will also host its first Pasta Academy outside the capital.
Meanwhile, the cookery school will offer weekly pasta-making classes led by Italian chefs.
The menu will feature more than 15 sauces and 20 types of fresh pasta, with dishes including truffle cacio e pepe, beef and Chianti ragu, and lobster, crab and prawn ravioli. Antipasti such as burrata and charcuterie boards, along with desserts like tiramisu and drinks including Aperol Spritz, will also be available.
Lagun, co-founder and chief marketing officer of Pasta Evangelists, said: “Guildford knows good food, so opening one of our largest restaurants to date in the culinary heart of the town is a big move.
“For many years Guildford has been a very popular geographical area for our pasta meal kits so we’re very excited to open our restaurant for customers to dine with us and be transported to Italy.”
The Guildford site is the brand’s third franchise location following restaurants in Chiswick and Richmond, and comes ahead of a wider UK rollout. An additional 10 new sites are planned in 2025, including a summer opening in Farringdon.
Ricky Patel, director at franchise partner ARA Pasta Limited, added: “We are very excited to bring the delicious food from Pasta Evangelists to Guildford, creating a restaurant that offers both a relaxed dining experience and a fast casual option to suit the customer, as well as a range of popular pasta-making classes.”
