Brother Marcus and Hagen are set to open new F&B sites at YY London, a newly refurbished 415,000 sq ft Canary Wharf office building.

Brother Marcus, London’s Eastern Mediterranean restaurant group, founded by duo Tas Gaitanos and Alex Large, is bringing its brunch, mezze, cocktails and Eastern Med wines to YY London next summer, and has taken 2,861 sq ft on a 20-year lease.

Meanwhile Hagen, a Danish espresso bar, has just opened its 17th outlet at YY London – a 1,141 sq ft bar on a 10-year lease. The new bar at YY London draws inspiration from Room 606 in Copenhagen’s SAS Hotel by Arne Jacobsen, featuring blue velvet, wooden paneling, brown marble, and oval lighting.

Both Brother Marcus and Hagen will be located on YY London’s ground floor facing directly onto the open spaces of Jubilee Plaza opposite the Jubilee Line Underground Station and the new waterfront Eden Dock.

YY London was purchased in 2019 by a joint venture between Quadrant and funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. to extensively refurbish the building to a highly modern standard. The refurbishment was completed in 2023.

Tristram Gethin, founding partner at Quadrant, said: “We welcome these exceptional brands to YY London. That they are moving into YY London is further testament to the building’s quality and the role it is playing in Canary Wharf’s community.”
