Another Place, The Lake has announced the opening of the refurbished Brackenrigg Inn, in Ullswater in the Lake District.

The pub is a short walk from the existing hotel and includes a bar, seven ensuite bedrooms, a sun-trap terrace and six acres of meadows.

Guests staying at The Brackenrigg will have access to everything on offer at Another Place.

The new pub has a particular focus on local produce, with the bar offering a number of local beers and ales.

Furthermore, the kitchen will offer a number of dishes with local produce in mind including Cartmel Valley pigs in blankets with mustard mayo or a Ploughman’s platter peppered with Cumbrian speciality cheeses.

Longer term the team hopes to introduce pub quizzes and live music as well as planting a kitchen garden and building a children’s play area.

Furthermore, Another Place is hoping to reestablish the pub’s taproom and microbrewery.

David Vaughan, Another Place hotels director, said: “The Brackenrigg’s roots are in the local community, and we’re extending a warm welcome to everyone who finds themselves in the Ullswater Valley – whether that means home, a good hike, a day trip or staying the night (or three). Our bar, restaurant, terrace and rooms will bring a new energy to Ullswater’s north east shore, as well as enhancing the experience for Another Place guests.”
