Italian restaurant Sale e Pepe located in Knightsbridge has announced the appointment of Luca Danisi as its new general manager.

With a distinguished career in the hospitality industry, Danisi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the front-of-house team at Sale e Pepe, having previously worked as a GM at the restaurant years ago.

He began his career in London back in 2012 when he joined The Wellesley, a boutique 5-star hotel in Knightsbridge, where he learnt his skills. After working in the hospitality industry for several years, he decided to venture into entrepreneurship and in 2018, he opened his own restaurant, il Sud, located in Berners Street in the heart of Fitzrovia

Later in 2019, he became the general manager of Sale e Pepe under the previous owner, Toni Coricelli. After three successful years at Sale e Pepe, he held important positions at renowned luxury establishments such as II Borro and Isabel, both located in Mayfair

Returning now to Sale e Pepe, he is poised to lead the front-of-house team with his insight and deep understanding of the restaurant’s legacy. With his proven track record of delivering “exceptional” customer service, he is well-equipped to uphold Sale e Pepe’s reputation as a destination for luxury Italian dining.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Sale e Pepe has recently undergone a refurbishment, “preserving its storied heritage while ushering in a new era of renaissance”.

Under the ownership of the Thesleff Group, already behind Los Mochis Notting Hill, Los Mochis London City and Viajante87, the restaurant has reclaimed its status as a premier destination in London.

On his return to Sale e Pepe, Danisi said: “It’s truly an honour to return to Sale e Pepe, a restaurant that holds a special place in my heart. I am thrilled to lead the front-of-house team and further contribute to the legacy of this iconic establishment. It’s great to be back and accompany Sale e Pepe in this exciting new beginning.”
