The Lobster pub, located in the seaside town of Sheringham, is set to reopen on Tuesday 27 February after undergoing a £465,000 refurbishment.

As part of the six-figure investment, The Lobster has received a full internal and external refresh which includes a new bar, kitchen, and refurbishment of seven of the pub’s ensuite guest rooms. The pub’s outdoor area has also received a makeover.

Additionally, the pub has also refreshed its food offering including a Triple Roast, with hand-carved beef , pork loin and turkey, served with pork, orange and fig stuffing, crispy pork crackling and chestnut mushroom Wellington, paired with a side of dauphinoise potatoes.

Throughout the rest of the week, guests can sample the pub’s chicken and pancetta pie and The Lobster’s red wine and fennel sausages.

Oliver McErlain, general manager, said: “Having spent the past two years at The Crown, it is a great honour to be involved with The Lobster. The care that the Sheringham community has for its history and for its local establishments, is exactly what makes Sheringham the best town on the North Norfolk coast.

“The investment into the venue is substantial and we can’t wait to welcome locals and tourists alike back to see the changes that have been made and to celebrate the pub’s new chapter with us. Having two businesses in the town we can secure the future of local jobs and my commitment is to the town and my long-term future in Sheringham.”
