Uber Technologies, which operates UberEats, revealed that delivery revenues increased 19% year-on-year to $17bn (£13.4bn) during the fourth quarter of 2023.
According to the group, its total booking revenues increased by 22% year-on-year to $37.6bn (£29.8bn) during the same period. This led to revenues growth of 15% year-on-year to $9.9bn (£7.8bn).
Combined mobility and delivery revenues at the company also grew 22% year-on-year to $8.7bn (£6.8bn).
Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber Technologies, said: “2023 was an inflection point for Uber, proving that we can continue to generate strong, profitable growth at scale. Our audiences are larger and more engaged than ever.”
Prashanth Mahendra-Rajah, CFO of Uber Technologies, added: “Uber’s platform advantages and disciplined investment in new growth opportunities resulted in record engagement and accelerating gross bookings in Q4.
“We’re looking forward to sharing more about our strategy and capital allocation plans at our Investor Update next week.”
