Greene King appoints new director for Metro business

Zoe Bowley has been appointed for a nine-month period to develop the Metro business and customer proposition as well as to run its Crafted Pub business

Greene King has announced the appointment of Zoe Bowley to oversee the Metropolitan Pub Company (Metro). 

Bowley has been appointed for a nine-month period to develop the Metro business and customer proposition as well as to run its Crafted Pub business. 

She will join the business on 16 October and brings with her a huge amount of experience from previous roles, most recently as managing director at Pizza Express and to the operations leadership roles at Whitbread and WeightWatchers.

The current managing director of the pub company, Michael Horan, has decided to step down to pursue new interests following successful treatment for cancer earlier this year.

Horan joined Greene King in 2018 and has led Metro, which is part of its Partnerships and Ventures division, for the last four years. Under his leadership, Metro has expanded and acquired key sites including the Fountain House in Manchester and the Ubiquitous Chip in Glasgow
