Boatfolk has announced the launch of its latest venture, Salt, opening in the Portland Marina (Dorset) this summer.

Set to open in July, Salt is an all-day dining destination that combines its waterside location with a seasonal menu.

The restaurant will cater to guests looking to refuel between activities or simply relax in the sun with a drink and a bite to eat.

Salt’s menu features a selection of locally sourced dishes to satisfy every craving, including seasonal fish out of Portland Bay, festival-inspired burgers and hot dogs, and pizzas from the mobile woodfired pizza pop-up, the Pizza Cutter.

The restaurant partners with establishments including Dorset-based vineyard Furleigh Estates and local distillery Conker Spirits.

The restaurant is committed to supporting local talent, providing a platform for acoustic performances during the day and DJ sets by night.

Salt’s interior designers have crafted enclaves of seating that flow inside and out, incorporating external wood burners and fire pits, seating with distressed leather, wooden tables complete with an indoor pergola and a boat installation hanging in the centre of the space.

The restaurant is situated to cater to visiting boaters and the local community, embracing holiday makers.
