Savore secures ‘major’ contract and appoints new non-exec chair

Savore was founded in September 2022 and won its first contract with a leading global consulting company within three months

Savore, London’s independent workplace dining provider, launched by chef-turned-operator Dan Kelly, has won its first contract, secured further finance to develop, and strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of a non-executive chairman, Mark Philpott.

New to London’s workplace dining scene, Savore has won a five-year contract with a global consultant’s UK head office.

The news coincides with the announcement that Kelly has secured investment from industry “heavyweights” Mark Philpott and Clive Hetherington.

Philpott, who together with Hetherington founded market-leading hospitality provider Vacherin in 2002, has been appointed as non-executive chairman of Savore to help Kelly grow the business.

The former Vacherin co-owner and chairman enjoyed a “celebrated career” at the forefront of the London catering sector including a long period with one of the largest food service providers in the world.

Savore was founded in September 2022 and won its first contract with a leading global consulting company within three months.

Savore provides a full hospitality service package including a restaurant, café, and premium barista coffee service in addition to bespoke events and hospitality for the 1,350 employees, their clients, and guests at the company’s UK head office.

Commenting on the new leadership team, Kelly, said: “I couldn’t be more delighted to have attracted Mark and Clive as investors in the business to help Savore grow. The depth of their joint market knowledge and experience in creating an industry-leading brand from the ground up will make a significant mark on Savore’s development. The investment will put Savore in a strong position to grow, and, importantly, ensure that we retain our founding values along the way.”

“I could not have dreamt of a better start to Savore’s journey – to work with a business renowned for being market leaders with a highly creative approach and dedication to high standards. The company’s belief that our innovative way of working, creativity and flexibility – delivered by a talented team – is aligned with our client’s principles and is the most incredible compliment we could receive. We look forward to providing their teams with a personal service and the most-delicious, modern, seasonal food for many years to come.”

Philpott added: “I have great respect for Dan and his strategy for Savore, and I look forward to supporting him and his team to make Savore the ‘go-to’ provider of quality, bespoke dining solutions in London.”
