UK’s Domino’s Pizza Group appoints new CEO
Andrew Rennie has spent over two decade with the company, having been CEO of France and Belgium, CEO of Australia and New Zealand and CEO of its European branch
The UK’s Domino’s Pizza Group has announced the appointment of Andrew Rennie as new chief executive officer of the company, to be effective from 7 August.
He will take over from Elias Diaz Sese, who took over as Interim CEO in October 2002. Diaz Sese will remain a non-executive director.
Rennie has an extensive career in Domino’s global system, a deep knowledge of the brand, and vast experience of working with franchises due to being a successful multi-unit franchisee for a decade.
He spent over two decades with Domino’s Pizza Enterprises, holding roles including CEO of France and Belgium from 2006 to 2010, COO and then CEO of its Australia and New Zealand business from 2010 to 2013, and CEO of its European business from 2014 to 2020.
While he was at the company, the market capitalisation grew from AU$132m (£69m) to AU$5.85bn (£3bn), representing an annualised return of circa 30%.DUring his tenure as CEO of Europe, revenues, EBITDa and store count increased 4.6 times, 13.5 times and three times respectively.
As of now, Rennie is a non-executive director of AIM-listed Domino’s Pizza Poland, and chair of The Cheesecake Shop, a 238-store business in Australia and New Zealand.
