Admiral Taverns has announced that 44 of its pubs are up for sale becoming the latest major pub company to list a number of its sites for sale.

A spokesperson for the company stated that all the pubs were up for sale individually rather than as a package deal.

The spokesperson added: “As usual with our business, we have individual pubs for sale as we continue developing our estate into long-term sustainable pubs.”

The group which runs around 1,600 pubs across the UK acquired 674 Hawthorn pubs in August 2021 for £222m.

This announcement comes not long after Stonegate Pub Company announced that around 1000 of its pubs were up for sale in January.

Furthermore, Wetherspoons has also listed around 45 of its pubs as the sector feels the pinch from the cost of living crisis and other external economic factors.
