Poke House has announced the appointment of Robert Wickenden as UK co-country head as the brand expands its presence in the market.

Wickenden joins Poke House after two years overseeing Deliveroo’s expansion across international markets. Prior to his role at Deliveroo, he has held a number of roles focused on growth and expansion across the likes of Anheuser Busch, Wagamama, Vapiano and Mitchells and Butlers.

He will report directly to Poke House’s co-founders, Matteo Pichi and Vittoria Zanetti.

He said: “Working with an array of the industry’s major players over the past 15 years, I know first-hand how integral passion is to the success of any business; something that Poke House isn’t short of.

“It’s that passion that attracted me to this role and has driven Poke House’s success, seeing the chain open 120 physical stores across its markets to date.”

Matteo Pichi, co-founder, at Poke House, said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time for the brand as we plan out our future, building upon a successful first year here in the UK. With his wealth of knowledge and expertise within the market, Robert will play a crucial role in our continued success.”
