Ibiza club operator, Pacha Group, has announced the acquisition of London’s Café de Paris nightclub.
The site will operate as the cabaret dining experience, Lío, which first appeared in the capital as a pop up in 2019.
Celebrating the brand’s 10-year anniversary, Lío has secured a permanent space with the reopening of the West End property.
Nick McCabe, CEO at Pacha, said: “Café de Paris has been an icon of the West End since the 1920s, so it is a great privilege to be taking it on into the next phase of its life.
“We are delighted that, true to its roots, it will remain somewhere that people can come and experience entertainment hospitality at its finest and we can’t wait to welcome people back.”
The establishment’s future had been left uncertain following the collapse in December of its former owner, the restaurant group Maxwell’s.
Maxwell’s liquidation resulted in redundancies for 400 staff members, impacting Café de Paris, Maxwell’s Bar and Grill, and Palm Court Brasserie in the process.
The site will now operate under Pacha’s wider European portfolio, which includes several Ibiza clubs and two new additions in Mykonos.
