Deliveroo has announced a new targeted support package to help pubs and bars reopen safely with the launch of its contactless dine-in tool – ‘TableService’.

Deliveroo is the first major UK platform to introduce Table Service, which allows customers to order via the Deliveroo app in pubs, bars and restaurants, enabling social distancing for both customers and staff.

More than 2,000 restaurant partners have already committed to using Table Service, demonstrating the “benefits the feature” can bring to the hospitality industry as it reopens after lockdown.

Deliveroo revealed pubs and bars have seen steady growth on Deliveroo since 2015 with 621 sites now on the app, from small, independent locals to large chains such as Mitchells and Butlers, Green King and Brew Dog.

Will Shu, CEO, Deliveroo said: “Deliveroo wants to play a significant role to support pubs and bars during Covid-19. They are at the heart of so many communities and it is vital that they receive as much support as possible.

“That is why we are constantly looking for new ways to support their growth and success and will be ramping up efforts in the coming weeks and months.”
