Parisian burger brand, Big Fernand, has announced the launch of its first British site in South Kensington, London.
The casual dining chain, which launched in Paris in 1993, has over 55 sites across France, China and the UAE. The South Kensington site marks the start of its expansion across the channel.
Big Fernand previously used locally sourced French meats in its burgers, and now “hopes” to use sustainably sourced British beef at its latest site. Its ‘hamburgé’ menu provides nine varying options of burgers, including its famed ‘le Big Fernand’ burger.
It also offers le Canard burger, featuring duck and pâté de foie gras, as well as le Veau, which pairs veal with Fourne cheese and candied onions. Vegetarian options are also on offer, as well as a chef’s salad, fries and a variety of desserts. A light breakfast menu will also launch next month.
The burger chain said it is “known for bringing France’s culinary flair and unique ingredients to the international burger scene”, and that Big Fernand is set to add a “certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ to the Big Smoke”.
It added: “Complemented by stylish but playful surroundings, Big Fernand’s approach will bring contrast to the capital.”
