Gaucho to undergo brand revamp with Mayfair restaurant launch

Restaurant chain Gaucho has unveiled it will be making changes to the business, which includes a new restaurant design and cinema screen, with the new design launching at Gaucho’s original restaurant on Charlotte Street in Mayfair this month.

The restaurant announced it has updated its “creative direction” to “win new fans while being true to the brand’s DNA.”

The debut of the new design in London’s Mayfair in December will be followed by its additional 15 sites undergoing the soon after.

Some new updates include: Argentinian wines on tap, a projector set up for film nights and a four seat Beef Bar “chef ‘s table.”

Culinary director, Mike Reid, who has previously held positions at Restaurant Gordon Ramsey in Chelsea and Le Gavroche in Mayfair is overseeing the menu.

Gaucho have also revealed its “socially responsible vision” scheme where 10% of staff will be employed through partnerships with charities including Armed Forces Covenants, Clink, Just a Pavement Away and Leonard Cheshire.

The business was bought out of administration by Lomo Bidco in September last year with its former managing director Martin Williams returning as CEO.
