Yum Brands has reported a 4% revenue rise to $1.7bn (£1.3bn) in Q2. The owner of KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Habit Burger Grill saw company-wide sales grow 3%, as it opened 598 new restaurants across 57 countries during the period. KFC revenues increased 5% to $717m (£563m) in Q2 and operating profit also increased 3% to $334m (£262m).
Fuller’s has acquired Lovely Pubs for £22.5m. The collection of seven Warwickshire pubs have been described as “a perfect fit” for Fuller’s existing estate of managed pubs. As part of the deal, Lovely Pubs will continue to operate as they are and, to ensure that “the essence of these pubs is preserved”, founder Paul Salisbury will continue to work with Fuller’s.
Heineken UK has partnered with AND Digital to launch HeiDeal, a new “data-driven” sales platform. According to the group, this new platform will transform how its sales teams build valuable contracts. HeiDeal will model multiple deal scenarios that optimise margin, profitability and product mix.
KöD, London’s only Danish steakhouse, will open a second site in Soho later this month. Behind the brand is London-based founding partner Morten Ortwed who, along with five friends, launched KöD in Denmark in 2014 before expanding into Norway and moving to the UK to oversee the developments and launch KöD City in March 2023.
