The business has been owned and operated by Andrew and Angela Wilson for the last 10 years and has come to the market as they are now hoping to retire.

The Wilson’s said: “The Small World Café is a real hub of the community, where people of all ages and from all walks of life come and meet. It is what a true café should be; a place to meet for any occasion with great tea, coffee and fantastic food sourced from mainly local producers. It has not been an easy decision to place The Small World Cafe for sale, however, after many years in the business it’s time to have more valuable family time.”

Marslie McGregor, business agent at Christie and Co who is handling the sale, added: “I am very excited to bring to market The Small World Café. Angela and Andrew have built the business to the success it is today; one of Hexham’s most known and popular cafés.

“The successful purchasers will be inheriting not only a well-loved café but one with a healthy and consistent level of trade. I am expecting a high level of interest in what is a rare opportunity to acquire a leading licensed café in one of the North East’s most popular tourist towns.”
