Incipio Group has named Ian Edward as its new chairman, having joined the board as non-executive director in 2022. Having co-founded Hippo Inns, he has also advised and invested in leisure businesses for over 30 years. Edward is currently on the board of Pizza Pilgrims and is an investor in Thunderbird Fried Chicken and Double Dutch.
The Royal Oak in Harlesden has reopened following a refurb. The London pub, which had a six-figure investment from Craft Union Pub Company, has extended its entertainment offering by installing a new dartboard, a pool table and a range of HD TV screens for sports matches.
Brick Lane’s The Buxton has appointed new head chef, Oliver Sharpe. His arrival marks a new chapter for the East London bistro, which will offer a newly-devised menu of seasonal small plates and natural wines. Sharpe started cooking at The Buxton’s sister site, The Culpeper, back in November 2019 as chef de partie. He moved to the Michelin-starred Brat in August 2020.
The Bat and Ball pub and restaurant in Surrey has been put up for sale for £1.2m. The venue has total seating for approximately 112 persons, the two section bar area has room for 66 seating, while the restaurant/dining area has 46 covers.
