According to the group, strengthening its presence at travel hubs is a core focus and has already proven highly effective at driving revenue and brand awareness.

Chopstix also has an existing unit at Woodall, located at the Northbound services, meaning the chain now serves on both sides of the M1 near Sheffield.

Welcome Break has worked closely with Chopstix franchise director Aaron Moore-Saxton in recent years to maximise existing site revenue and to identify Welcome Break locations well placed for new Chopstix units.

As part of the agreement, the franchisee oversees the full management of all sites, with employees undergoing an “extensive” Chopstix induction.

Moore-Saxton said: “We are delighted to launch another site with Welcome Break and operate on both sides of the M1 at Woodall.

“Chopstix continues to thrive in travel hubs and particularly in MSAs so I have no doubt the franchisee will have considerable success with this new opening. We’re excited to explore future opportunities with Welcome Break.”
