Sticks’n’sushi secures two new branches in South West London

The Kingston restaurant will be their biggest restaurant to date, set over two floors with a large external terrace in the Bentall Centre

Sticks’n’Sushi has announced two further openings, with the first set to open in Kingston-upon-Thames, followed by Richmond in early 2024.

The Danish-Japanese restaurant group aims to replicate its success with the Wimbledon branch, which first opened 11 years ago.

The Kingston restaurant will be their biggest restaurant to date, set over two floors with a large external terrace on the corner of Wood Street and Clarence Street in the Bentall Centre.

Curated in collaboration with longstanding partners Diener and Diener, the 220-cover restaurant will capture a balance between Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian elegance, with soft hanging partitions, natural furnishings, and warm, earthy tones.

Meanwhile, the menu at Sticks’n’Sushi Kingston will continue to serve guest favourites such as the ‘Sushi Sister’ sashimi sharing menu and ‘Ebi Bites’, offering their unique combination of traditional sushi, salads and grilled yakitori sticks.

The food menu is complemented with an extensive drinks list, including cocktails, warming sake, and a varied list of delicate Japanese teas.

Andreas Karlsson, CEO of Sticks’n’Sushi, said: “We have had South West London on our wish list of locations ever since our first opening in Wimbledon during the year of the summer Olympics. It brings us great joy to announce that we will be opening these new restaurants in two landmark buildings located at the heart of their neighbourhoods.

“South West London is an area close to our heart and origins, we are eagerly awaiting for the opportunity to welcome new and loyal guests to enjoy the Sticks’n’Sushi experience.”
