The Food Pit has signed 3,500 sq ft of space for its new food hall concept at The Riverwalk in Durham, a £30m redevelopment on the banks of the River Wear.
The new food hall is fully let, with seven food and drink operators including; Gourmet Burgers, Fish and Chips, Mano Thai, Durham Sausage Company, Bojangles coffee shop, Spread of the Med and Mr Waffle.
According to the group, the “exciting” mix of operators are situated around communal seating, smaller tables and a main bar and allow visitors to sample a wide range of food and flavours in one sitting.
The Food Pit will be fully open with all its operators on 22 November.
Nick Berry, partner at Clearbell Capital, said: “The street food scene is increasingly popular in cities across the country, providing something for everyone and creating a vibrant hub.
“The Food Pit has created this unique platform right in the heart of The Riverwalk, with a list of carefully curated operators that complement each other and give consumers a different experience on each visit.”
The Riverwalk is a new shopping, dining and entertainment destination in Durham and is owned by Clearbell Property Partners II, a fund managed by Clearbell Capital.
