Costa Coffee will increase pay for over 15,000 team members from 1 April. This will be the fifth time the company has increased pay rates for store team members since April 2021. Team members in Central London will receive an extra £1 per hour, bringing their starting rate to £13 per hour, or £13.33 for new Barista Maestros.

Tortilla has confirmed UberEats and Just Eat as its delivery partners, following a review of the fast-casual brand’s delivery strategy, which was announced on 20 December 2023. The refined strategy will see Tortilla collaborate on some marketing efforts, including the launch of exclusive products and offers and “heavy” investment into brand awareness to attract new customers through a growing UK customer base. 

Chef Robert Thompson MBE is set to open RTCaféGrill on the Isle of Wight in March. RTCaféGrill will open on the ground floor of Royal Maritime House, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant features a long bar flanked with bar stools and bar tables looking out over the Solent.

Michelin Guide restaurant, Hiraeth, has relocated to Bridgend’s Court Colman Manor Hotel, taking over the manor hotel’s 50 cover restaurant. Hiraeth’s relocation comes after the landlord of their original site chose to put the 400-year-old building near Cowbridge up for sale. The hotel’s extensive gardens will serve as the “canvas” for Hiraeth’s kitchen garden, ensuring a “bountiful harvest” of seasonal produce just metres from the kitchen door.
