Amid the extended closure of its site, the restaurant was “forced” to renovate and open a temporary restaurant, The Vault Kitchen in Penzance, led by Jamie Porter, which closed on 6 March.

As well as the restaurant, the hotel is due to open its doors on Tuesday 24 March 2020.

The establishment won Seaside Hotel of the Year in the 2020 Good Hotel Guide and the IWC UK Wine List of the Year and features 14 bedrooms.

Edmund Inkin joint owner and director said: “We thank our guests for being unstintingly supportive throughout this process even when our plans have been uncertain.

“And I do want to acknowledge our suppliers, who are impacted by their own loss of business when we close. We hope to make up for it with a busy summer.”
