Neil Borthwick to open new restaurant at French House

Neil Borthwick is to open a new Gallic-inspired restaurant on the second floor of Soho’s French House pub.

The restaurant does not yet have a name however it is due to open next week with the chef recently cooking at Leila’s on Calvert Avenue in Shoreditch. The French House confirmed Borthwick’s residency with the team providing him with assistance “every now and then”.

Borthwick has previously worked under Gordon Ramsay and Michel Bras, before working alongside Paul Howard at The Square in Mayfair. A sample menu for the restaurant was recently leaked revealing that the restaurant will only be open for lunch at first.

The sample menu also revealed that dishes served will include rabbit rillette, pigs head terrine and lamb broth. Desserts at the restaurant will include tart tatin, chocolate mousse and Paris brest.
