Manchester restaurant Mr Cooper’s has announced it will relaunch later this year as Mount Street Dining Room and Bar.
The casual dining restaurant located at The Midlands Hotel in Manchester will be fronted by the hotels executive chef Brian Spark, and will serve “British classics with a twist.” The menu will include dishes including Bury black pudding with roast apples from Tatton Park, Beef Wellington pie and surf and turf.
The beverages will include northern beers, which include local breweries such as Alphabet, Cloudwater and Track.
The rebrand is part of a major investment project at the hotel and is set to be completed in April. The refurbishment of the restaurant, bar and lobby area follows the acquisition of the hotel by Swedish hotel investment company Pandox and Fattal Hotel Groups, which now operates under its Leonardo Hotel brand.
Managing director of Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland, Jason Curruthers told Manchester Evening News: “We’re really looking forward to unveiling Mount Street Dining Room and Bar and think it’s going to be a great addition to the city. The North is famous for its hospitality and that will be key at Mount Street.
“While Mr Cooper’s was more of a dinner-orientated destination, we believe Mount Street has all day appeal and we’re excited to be embarking on this new chapter at the hotel.”
