Lucky and Joy has announced the launch of its first permanent site, which is set to open in Clapton later this month.
The team behind the Chinese-inspired concept announced that bookings are now being taken for their soft launch, before the new restaurant officially opens its doors on 29 November.
“We’ll be serving up some old classics alongside new creations at our Clapton outpost. Expect the same bold and fiery flavours alongside a selection of delicious cocktails and wine.”
Vegetarian and vegan friendly dishes will feature throughout the menu. Sweet potato wontons, Shiitake turnip cake and Yunnan cucumber salad will be some of the classic dishes retained from previous menus, whilst customers will also be offered new additions, such as Typhoon Shelter cauliflower and crispy fried kidney beans.
Lucky and Joy is lead by Chef Ellen Parr and bartender Pete Kelly, who both met whilst working at London tapas site Morito. Inspired by the food they encountered on travels through China and Southeast Asia, the duo went on to form Lucky and Joy, which has remained a pop-up restaurant brand until now.
