Japan’s Curry House Cocoichibanya to open in London

Japan’s largest curry chain, Curry House Cocoichibaya is to open in London’s Covent Garden on Wednesday 12 December.

The chain has over 1,000 Japanese restaurants and had been looking to open in London for two years before acquiring the site on Great Newport Street. The chain has become known for its customisation options which allow diners to alter topping, spicing, and mildness (the sweetness of the sauce), with heat ranging from ‘mild’ to ‘level 10’.

Diners are able to add many unconventional toppings to their curries such as scrambled eggs, hamburgers, hamburgers filled with cheese, Frankfurter-style sausages, fried fish, squid, shrimps, and cheese.
