Hop Vietnamese Street Eats to open second Manchester restaurant

Manchester Arndale has announced another new addition to its food and beverage line-up after agreeing a 15-year lease with Hop Vietnamese Street Eats. Hop Vietnamese, which has a selection of outlets across London and a kiosk in ‘The Orient’ food court at The Trafford Centre, will bring a taste of Vietnam to Manchester City Centre when it moves into the 3,777 sq ft former Samsung unit on Market Street in May. Founded in 2015 by Paul Hopper, Hop Vietnamese food is inspired by the street food vendors of Vietnam with an extensive fully customisable menu including pho noodle soup, banh mi baguettes, noodle salads and curries. The menu also includes bubble tea, fresh lemonades, soft serve ice cream, Viet rocket fuel coffee, Viet fried chicken, dumplings and more. Plant-based and Halal options are also available across the entire menu. The opening of Hop Vietnamese follows several new arrivals over the last 12 months, including Sides, Black Sheep Coffee, Krispy Kreme, and Lazy Sundae. It will also add to the centre’s growing selection of Asian cuisine which will include the arrival of the UK’s “largest” Asian supermarket chain, Oseyo, who are set to open later this year after agreeing a 15-year lease last year. This latest signing also continues on from the strong leasing activity we experienced during 2023 as we continue our efforts in maintaining Manchester Arndale’s place as the North West’s go-to destination.” Hopper, founder of Hop Vietnamese, added: “We've been blown away by the welcome we've received at our first Manchester based location at The Trafford Centre, so when this incredible opportunity arose at Manchester Arndale it just felt right for a second opening. “Hop's offering is perfectly matched to both the needs of busy professionals as well as shoppers and tourists looking for a more interesting alternative to the regular fast food offerings typically found on the high street.
