Halal steakhouse concept opens in Manchester

A halal steakhouse will be opening on First Street in Manchester this summer.

Using fresh local ingredients, 140 cover restaurant Ribeye Steakhouse is due to open in May with an aim to bring a “diverse, authentic grill style restaurant” to the residential and commercial development.

The interior build of the development is underway and the restaurant will feature an open kitchen and a mezzanine. The outdoor area will seat up to 40 people.

The menu “beefy treats” from the Wagyu and Aberdeen Angus steaks and burgers, a selection of seafood, chicken and lamb dishes. There will also be vegetarian and vegan offerings as well as options for those with specific dietary requirements.

Sohail Kaushal, owner, said: “We’re currently working on some exciting dishes. A dedicated patisserie chef will also be on hand creating tempting desserts, and a selection of refreshing mocktails at the first dry bar in Manchester.

“We were attracted to First Street as it’s a very up-and-coming area of Manchester and we jumped at the chance at being able to be a part of it. We were born and bred in Manchester and see Manchester as one of the most diverse cities in the world. We want people from all backgrounds to come to the restaurant and enjoy their experience.”
