Closely following the group’s opening in St Ives in Cambridgeshire, Eric Snaith, executive chef and owner of award-winning Eric’s Fish And Chips, will open a third site in Holt, Norfolk on 27 June 2019.
Eric’s Fish And Chips Holt will be a 30-cover licensed restaurant and takeaway serving classic fish and chips with a modern twist.
Located on Fish Hill, the 712 square foot Grade II listed site has been designed by Shaun Clarkson ID. In keeping with the group’s aesthetic, a coastal colourway of blues and greens is offset by accents of traffic orange and warm brass touches to create a bright, modern space. The exterior will be finished in Holt heritage colours.
As at Eric’s Fish And Chips in Thornham and St Ives, the menu uses sustainably sourced fish and local ingredients to highlight the best of the Norfolk coast. Signature cod and chips made with Green King IPA batter and traditional beef dripping (with vegetarian and gluten-free alternatives available) will sit alongside Kansas City wings, black pudding fritters and homemade sauces such as black garlic mayo. The restaurant will also serve gelato and sorbet with signature toppings such as caramelised cornflakes, made in collaboration with East Coast Gelato. A dedicated kid’s menu will also be available.
Wines and champagnes, sourced from Titchwell Manor supplier Hallgarten Druitt, will be served alongside Eric’s Fish And Chips own Session pale ale, exclusively brewed for the brand by BrewBoard brewers. Batch cocktails and homemade soft drinks will complete the drinks list.
Snaith said: “We have always been a huge admirer of Holt’s beautiful market town. With our third site at Fish Hill our aim, as always, is to continue to serve the nation’s favourite dish to the best of our ability. The formula of offering the highest-quality sustainably sourced fish in a fun and informal atmosphere has proved a winning one. We look forward to bringing it to the thriving community of Holt.”
Open from noon until 9pm daily, Eric’s Fish And Chips Holt is the second of two new openings this summer from husband and wife team Eric and Lydia Snaith, following the opening of Eric’s Fish And Chips St Ives, Cambridgeshire on 1 June.
