Chipotle to open seventh London restaurant

Chipotle is set to open its seventh London restaurant, and its second in the City of London, at 70-72 King William Street, near Monument, on Monday, 7 January 2019.

Chipotle already operates restaurants at locations including Soho, Baker Street, Islington and London Wall.

The Mexican chain was founded in 1993 and chose London as its first location for its European expansion, with its Charing Cross Road restaurant in May 2010.

Jacob Sumner, operations director, Chipotle in Europe, said: “We are delighted to open our second restaurant in the City of London, near Monument, at 70-72 King William Street.

“We already have a huge fanbase in the city as a result of opening at 49 London Wall in 2015 and are proud that we can now serve more people living and working in this area, helping change the way people think about and eat fast food.”
