Italian-japanese fusion restaurant Berisio has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube, in order to expand on the success of its first restaurant.
Since its launch in 2015, Beiriso said it has cultivated a “loyal customer base” and now serve 300 people daily. It said the convenience food-to-go market growth is steadily rising and the founders of the company “strongly believe” that they are “positioned perfectly” to expand into this market.
Beiriso’s CEO, Roya Andrews, said: “We’re unique as we are positioned in between the restaurant-quality sit-down and the speed of grab and go service environment. Sustainability is at the forefront of our operational plans incorporating environmentally biodegradable packaging as much as possible and reducing food waste as it’s made to order.
“We’re excited to say we’re now Privately Live on Crowdcube, with the hope of raising enough funds to startup new Beiriso kitchen outlets into more prime locations.”
With the funds raised through this funding round, Beiriso said it will be able to take the business to “the next level”. Currently at 33% funded, the brand is about to go officially live on Crowdcube in a matter of weeks.
