16-year-old Prestwick restaurant set for ‘transformation’

Prestwick restaurant, Elliot’s bar and restaurant is set for a “complete transformation” following “significant investment”.

The restaurant, under its old name, closed its doors for the last time on 27 January, with work on the restaurant, to be renamed, Vic’s & The Vine, commencing right away.

Kenny Blair, Buzzworks Holdings MD, said: “It’s essential to evolve within the hospitality industry and look at innovative ways to create new and exciting concepts for our customers. It’s an exciting time for the company as this major refurbishment gets underway.

“In recent years we have launched venues outside of Ayrshire, namely The Coach House in Bridge of Weir and Scotts South Queensferry – but we’ve never lost sight of our roots by strategically investing in our existing venues. Our work to reincarnate Elliots is part of our wider growth strategy, both benefiting the local community and Scotland’s hospitality industry.”

Vic’s & The Vine will be a venue of two halves, the 150-cover restaurant will be called The Vine and will serve food from breakfast to late every day. The bar will be called Vic’s and will be a “modern take on a traditional bar” featuring live sport and entertainment seven days a week, and will open to 2.30am on weekends.

The restaurant is set to become the first venue in Ayrshire to serve unpasteurised tank beer straight from the brewery.
