Nightcap revenues surge 92% following indoor reopening

While the firm was only trading with 16 of its 19 bars at that time in 2019, like-for-like sales still increased 53% for the same period

Bar group Nightcap saw unaudited group revenues for the three weeks from 17 March to 6 June grow 92% when compared to 2019 levels.

While the firm was only trading with 16 of its 19 bars at that time in 2019, like-for-like sales still increased 53% for the same period.

The London Cocktail Club (LCC) also saw an 83% jump in revenues following the reopening of indoor hospitality when compared to the same period in 2019, with a 69% like-for-like increase.

Moreover, Nightcap’s latest addition to its brand portfolio, Adventure Bar Group, broke its all-time weekly sales record in excess of £520,000 across its nine sites.

The group said that the sales performance is “significantly ahead of the board’s expectations”, due to the fact that bars have “restricted capacity due to social distancing requirements”.

It added: “On the back of the strong recent trading performance, the group continues to expand its opening pipeline for the next three years.

“Our management teams are travelling around the UK looking for new properties and we have a number of sites that are currently in legal negotiations across several of the group’s brands.”
