InterContinental London’s O2 branch appoints new head chef

The O2 branch of InterContinental London has announced the appointment of new head chef, Lalit Bisht.

Bisht will join executive chef Johan Rox and his team at the Market Brasserie from his executive chef position at Hilton Seychelles.

The new head chef started his culinary journey in 1993 as a commis chef at the luxury 5-star Hyatt Regency New Delhi. The chef has also cooked in some of London’s most prestigious hotels, including The Waldorf Hilton and Hilton London Green Park.

Bisht said: “I’m delighted to be joining the team at this innovative restaurant. I have worked as a chef in many incredible hotels all over the world, and for almost ten years I have made the UK my home and developed an extensive knowledge of British cuisine.

“I am very interested in exploring British flavours and giving them an exotic twist, and I’m looking forward to bringing exciting new recipes to Market Brasserie.”

Johan Rox, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Lalit to the Market Brasserie team. Lalit is an accomplished and admired chef with a fantastic breadth of experience, both from the UK and further afield. He joins Market Brasserie at an exciting time, and I look forward to working closely together to create innovative and inspiring dishes.”
