The group also has more than 55 properties including pubs, inns, hotels and shops throughout East Anglia and exports to more than 24 countries.
Hanlon said: “I am extremely excited to join Adnams as I will get the opportunity to work alongside all those who have built this business to what it is today.
“Adnams is an iconic business that cares deeply about always doing the right thing and I look forward to what we can achieve in the years to come.”
Dr Andy Wood, CEO of Adnams, said: “Jenny is a great addition to our team and will, I am sure, make a positive impact on the business now and in the future. We have more than 2,700 years of service in our business and people are at the heart of everything we do.”
He added: “I would like to thank Stephen for his years of service to Adnams and for what he has done to support the business over the last 16 years, we wouldn’t be the business we are without his significant contribution.”
