Fantomas to open in Chelsea in July

Designed with rustic elegance in mind, the restaurant will serve a Modern European cuisine incorporating elements of Asian flavours, particularly Japanese

The Sloane Stanley Estate has announced that Fantomas, the new gastronomic concept behind dynamic duo George Bukhov-Weinstein and Ilya Demichev, is set to open on King’s Road later this summer. 

The restaurant will be headed up by chef Chris Denney, adding another award-winning name to the borough of Chelsea. 

Fantomas will occupy a prominent corner unit at 300 King’s Road, taking a 2,000 sq ft space with up to 80 covers inside and outside.

The new restaurant is set to open in early July, and will include an extensive wine list and seasonal cocktails for guests.

Bukhov-Weinstein and Demichev, the duo behind Wild Tavern, Beast, Belvedere and most recently, Lita Bistro, are collaborating with Michelin-star chef Chris Denney on this concept, bringing innovative and precise culinary experience. 

Drawing inspiration from his travels across numerous countries, Denney will blend modern culinary techniques while staying true to traditional, artisanal values, emphasising seasonal and sustainable ingredients.

Fantomas will no doubt deliver all three, adding yet another exceptional concept to our estate as we continue to enrich and grow our F&B offer, complementing the recent opening of restaurants such as Josephine and the upcoming arrival of Dez Amore.”

Bukhov-Weinstein added: “Following the success of concepts such as Wild Tavern and Belvedere, we understand the market and know the kinds of concepts that will thrive in Chelsea. Sloane Stanley have presented us with a prime spot on King’s Road that will not only serve as a core part to the Estate and the community, but will attract visitors from all over. 

“We are excited to work with chef Chris Denney and bring this concept to life. It will be an amazing new experience for our guests.”
