Cornish Bakery expands senior leadership team

More roles are also currently being created in property, human resources, training and across new bakery openings.

Cornish Bakery has expanded its senior leadership team to enable its journey towards growing the business to 100 bakeries. 

Founder Steve Grocutt has bolstered both his board and operational teams, headhunting specialists from across the UK, as well as promoting from within the company.

Ralf Goad, previously of Risk Capital Partners, Quilvest and EY, has joined the board as finance director, bringing experience in corporate restructuring, and commercial and financial due diligence.

Additionally Stephen Evans-Wrobleski, formerly responsible for national operations and innovation at the Whitbread Bar + Block operation, has been promoted to director of commercial operations.

Jen Rowlands, originally a bakery manager, has also been appointed to the role of head of operations. Alice Leach recently joined as bakery innovation manager, with her talent being “immediately recognised” in the recent Restaurant Marketer and Innovator ‘30 Under 30’ list. 

According to the group, Tina Dicks, who has worked with Cornish Bakery for over 20 years, has been promoted to operations excellence manager while Victoria Lintern has been promoted to head of human resources.

Grocutt said: “We are constantly on the push for growth, but always retaining a strong culture and independence. To keep exceeding all targets, I’ve brought an enhanced team of experienced innovators and leaders into the business, as well as recognising and promoting our in-house talent.
